Ingredients
- Cassava starch - 100 grams
- Water - 400 ml
- Coconut milk - 200 ml
- Palm sugar - 80 grams
- Salt - a pinch
- Toppings (optional): toasted sesame seeds, crushed peanuts - to taste
Steps
- In a saucepan, mix the cassava starch with 200 ml of water until smooth.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and continuously stir until the mixture thickens and becomes translucent, about 10 minutes.
- In another pot, combine the coconut milk, remaining 200 ml of water, palm sugar, and a pinch of salt. Heat over low until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Once the cassava mixture is thickened, pour it into a serving bowl or individual cups.
- Drizzle the sweet coconut milk over the top of the cassava mixture.
- Optionally, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds or crushed peanuts before serving.
- Serve warm or chilled, as desired.
