Ingredients

  • Sweet corn kernels - 200 grams
  • Coconut milk - 200 ml
  • Glutinous rice - 60 grams
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a pot, combine 500 ml of water and the soaked glutinous rice. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes until the rice is tender.
  3. Add the sweet corn kernels and sugar to the pot, stirring to combine, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the coconut milk and a pinch of salt, then stir well. Allow the mixture to simmer for another 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving. You can serve it warm or chilled, as per your preference.
