- Pandan leaves - 2 pieces

- Tapioca pearls - 30 grams
Steps
- Soak the black beans in water for at least 4 hours or overnight to soften them.
- Drain and rinse the soaked black beans, then add them to a pot with 500 ml of fresh water.
- Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer the beans for about 30 minutes or until tender.
- In a separate pot, cook the tapioca pearls in boiling water for about 10-15 minutes until they become translucent. Drain and set aside.
- Once the black beans are tender, add the coconut milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt to the pot. Stir to combine.
- Tie the pandan leaves into a knot and add them to the mixture, allowing it to simmer for an additional 10 minutes for flavor infusion.
- Remove the pandan leaves and stir in the cooked tapioca pearls.
- Serve warm or chilled in bowls, garnished with additional coconut milk if desired.
