- Almond flour - 50g
- Coconut flour - 20g
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic powder - 1 tsp
- Onion powder - 1 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Fish sauce - 1 tbsp
- Lime juice - 1 tbsp
- Cilantro - 10g (for garnish)
- Cooking oil (for frying) - 200ml
Steps
- Rinse the catfish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the fish sauce and lime juice.
- Dip each catfish fillet into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the flour mixture evenly.
- Heat cooking oil in a large frying pan over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- Carefully place the coated catfish fillets into the hot oil, frying for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the fillets and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro.
