Ingredients

  • Catfish fillets - 300g
  • Almond flour - 50g
  • Coconut flour - 20g
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • Onion powder - 1 tsp
  • Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Fish sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Lime juice - 1 tbsp
  • Cilantro - 10g (for garnish)
  • Cooking oil (for frying) - 200ml

Steps

  1. Rinse the catfish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the fish sauce and lime juice.
  4. Dip each catfish fillet into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the flour mixture evenly.
  5. Heat cooking oil in a large frying pan over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
  6. Carefully place the coated catfish fillets into the hot oil, frying for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Once cooked, remove the fillets and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro.
