  • Shallots - 2, minced
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish
  • Lettuce leaves - for serving
  • Rice (cooked) - 200 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the minced lemongrass, garlic, shallots, fish sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the fish fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Carefully place the marinated fish on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Once cooked, remove the fish from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Serve the grilled fish on a plate, garnished with fresh cilantro, alongside cooked rice and lettuce leaves.
