- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Shallots - 2, finely chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh chili - 1, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine lime juice, fish sauce, minced garlic, chopped shallots, cilantro, chopped chili, black pepper, and olive oil to create the marinade.
- Add the grouper fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the fish from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Place the grouper fillets on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy your Cá Mú Nướng with a side of fresh salad or steamed vegetables.
