Ingredients

  • Grouper fillets - 300 grams
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Shallots - 2, finely chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh chili - 1, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lime juice, fish sauce, minced garlic, chopped shallots, cilantro, chopped chili, black pepper, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the grouper fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the fish from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the grouper fillets on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy your Cá Mú Nướng with a side of fresh salad or steamed vegetables.
