- Grouper fillet - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon (sliced)
- Garlic - 2 cloves (minced)
- Spring onions - 2 (chopped)
- Fresh coriander - a handful (for garnish)
- Lime - 1 (juiced)
- Chili - 1 (sliced, optional)
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Prepare the grouper fillet by rinsing it under cold water and patting dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, ginger, garlic, lime juice, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the grouper in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's well-coated. Allow it to marinate for 15 minutes.
- Set up a steamer over boiling water and place the marinated grouper on the steaming tray.
- Sprinkle chopped spring onions and sliced chili on top of the fish.
- Cover the steamer and steam the fish for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky.
- Once done, carefully remove the fish and drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with fresh coriander.
