Ingredients

  • Mackerel fillet - 300 grams
  • Pickled mustard greens - 150 grams
  • Coconut aminos - 3 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Shallots - 2, sliced
  • Ginger - 1 inch, sliced
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 200 milliliters
  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat coconut oil in a medium pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced shallots and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the mackerel fillet to the pot and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  4. Add pickled mustard greens, sliced ginger, coconut aminos, fish sauce, black pepper, and water to the pot.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, cover, and let it cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Check the seasoning and adjust if necessary, then remove from heat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
