- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Scallions - 2, chopped
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Red chili - 1, sliced (optional)
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Prepare the fish by rinsing it under cold water and patting it dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, lemon juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
- Place the fish fillet in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's evenly coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- While the fish is marinating, prepare a steaming setup by boiling water in a pot and placing a steaming rack or plate inside.
- Place the marinated fish on the steaming rack and sprinkle chopped scallions and sliced red chili on top.
- Cover and steam the fish for about 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
