  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Brown sugar - 15 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Lime juice - 15 ml
  • Fresh dill - 10 grams, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Wood chips (for smoking) - 1 cup

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, chopped dill, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillet in the marinade, ensuring it is fully coated, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare your smoker by soaking wood chips in water for 30 minutes, then draining them.
  4. Preheat the smoker to a temperature of 80-90°C (175-195°F).
  5. Place the soaked wood chips in the smoker box or directly onto the heat source.
  6. Remove the salmon from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels.
  7. Place the salmon on the smoker rack and smoke for about 10-15 minutes, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
  8. Remove the salmon from the smoker and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
