Ingredients

  • Salmon fillet - 200 grams, sashimi grade
  • Lime - 1, juiced
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh chili - 1, finely sliced (adjust to taste)
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 10 grams, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 10 grams, chopped
  • Fresh basil - 10 grams, chopped
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Sea salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Start by ensuring the salmon fillet is very fresh and sashimi grade. Rinse it under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Using a sharp knife, slice the salmon into thin, bite-sized pieces (approximately 0.5 cm thick) and arrange them neatly on a serving plate.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the lime juice, fish sauce, minced garlic, and sliced chili to create the dipping sauce. Mix well and set aside.
  4. Prepare the herbs by roughly chopping the cilantro, mint, and basil. Place them in a small bowl or on the plate beside the salmon.
  5. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds and arrange them around the salmon for garnish and added crunch.
  6. Serve the salmon sashimi with the dipping sauce, fresh herbs, and cucumber. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor.
