Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets - 300 grams
  • White miso paste - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro - a handful, for garnish
  • Lime wedges - 2, for serving

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together the white miso paste, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the grill or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Grill the salmon for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until it flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks.
  6. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Serve the salmon garnished with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro, along with lime wedges on the side.
