- Fresh ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 3 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lime wedges - for serving
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, combine the finely chopped kaffir lime leaves, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, black pepper, olive oil, and salt to create a marinade.
- Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it is well-coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the preheated grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the grilled salmon with lime wedges and garnish with fresh cilantro.
