Ingredients

  • Salmon fillet - 400 grams
  • Kaffir lime leaves - 10 leaves, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Soy sauce (kosher) - 3 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lime wedges - for serving
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the finely chopped kaffir lime leaves, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, black pepper, olive oil, and salt to create a marinade.
  3. Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it is well-coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the preheated grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  5. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Serve the grilled salmon with lime wedges and garnish with fresh cilantro.
