- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Cilantro - a handful, chopped
- Water - 100 milliliters
Steps
- Cut the salmon fillet into two equal pieces and season with black pepper. Set aside.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced ginger, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
- In a medium-sized pan or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add sliced shallots and sauté until they are soft and fragrant.
- Add the marinated salmon pieces to the pan, cooking for about 2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cover and cook for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the salmon to cook through.
