- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili - 1, sliced (optional)
- Fresh coriander - a handful, for garnish
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Prepare the salmon fillet by patting it dry and seasoning with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a small bowl, mix the fish sauce, lime juice, lemongrass, ginger, and garlic to create a marinade.
- Place the salmon on a heatproof plate and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- If using, sprinkle the sliced red chili on top of the salmon for an extra kick.
- Set up a steamer and bring water to a boil. Place the plate with salmon in the steamer, cover, and steam for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once done, remove the salmon from the steamer and garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
