  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon (for grilling)
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for serving)
  • Lime wedges - 2 (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into thick slices resembling salmon fillets.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, red chili flakes, black pepper, chopped dill, and chopped parsley to create the marinade.
  3. Add the tofu slices to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and brush it lightly with cooking oil.
  5. Once hot, grill the marinated tofu slices for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they develop a nice char and are heated through.
  6. Serve the grilled tofu on a bed of lettuce leaves and garnish with lime wedges on the side.
