Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Mixed mushrooms (shiitake, oyster, enoki) - 150 grams, sliced
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Shallots - 2, thinly sliced
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, marinate the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and sesame oil. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sliced shallots to the skillet, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to high, then add the marinated beef to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned and almost cooked through.
  5. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
