Ingredients

  • Rice paper (bánh tráng) - 4 sheets
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Shredded pork (thịt heo khô) - 50 grams
  • Chopped green onions - 2 tablespoons
  • Shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar) - 50 grams
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili sauce - to taste
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add the cooking oil.
  2. Place one sheet of rice paper in the pan and let it warm for about 30 seconds until it becomes pliable.
  3. Crack one egg onto the rice paper and gently spread it to cover the surface.
  4. Sprinkle half of the shredded pork, chopped green onions, and cheese over the egg.
  5. Drizzle a teaspoon of fish sauce and add black pepper to taste.
  6. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the egg is set and the cheese melts, then carefully fold the rice paper in half.
  7. Flip the Bánh Tráng Nướng and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the pan and repeat the process for the second serving.
  9. Serve hot with chili sauce on the side.
