Ingredients
- Rice paper wrappers - 4 sheets
- Pork tenderloin - 200 grams
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 teaspoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Cucumber - 1 small, julienned
- Carrot - 1 small, julienned
- Fresh mint leaves - 10 leaves
- Fresh cilantro - 10 sprigs
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine fish sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, and honey to create a marinade.
- Slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips and marinate it in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated pork strips for about 5-7 minutes, or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Prepare a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10 seconds or until it softens, then lay it on a clean surface.
- On the lower third of the rice paper, place a lettuce leaf, a few strips of cooked pork, julienned cucumber, julienned carrot, mint leaves, and cilantro.
- Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling and then roll it tightly from the bottom up to enclose the filling. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and ingredients.
- Serve the rolls with your favorite dipping sauce, such as hoisin or peanut sauce, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
