Ingredients

  • Rice paper wrappers - 4 sheets
  • Pork tenderloin - 200 grams
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Cucumber - 1 small, julienned
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Fresh mint leaves - 10 leaves
  • Fresh cilantro - 10 sprigs
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine fish sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, and honey to create a marinade.
  2. Slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips and marinate it in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated pork strips for about 5-7 minutes, or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Prepare a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10 seconds or until it softens, then lay it on a clean surface.
  5. On the lower third of the rice paper, place a lettuce leaf, a few strips of cooked pork, julienned cucumber, julienned carrot, mint leaves, and cilantro.
  6. Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling and then roll it tightly from the bottom up to enclose the filling. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and ingredients.
  7. Serve the rolls with your favorite dipping sauce, such as hoisin or peanut sauce, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
