  • Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil for frying - 100ml
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish - 1/4 cup
  • Lime wedges, for serving - 1 lime
  • Chili sauce, for drizzling - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, tapioca starch, water, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to create a smooth batter.
  2. Fold in the shrimp, green onion, and grated carrot until well combined.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Pour a ladleful of the batter into the skillet, spreading it out to form a round base.
  5. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  7. Repeat the process for the remaining batter, adding more oil as needed.
  8. Once the Bánh Tôm Pizza is cooked, remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
