Ingredients
- Shrimp - 200 grams, peeled and deveined
- Sweet potato - 150 grams, grated
- Tapioca flour - 50 grams
- Coconut flour - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coconut oil - for frying
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Sliced cucumber - 100 grams
- Sliced tomato - 1 medium
- Homemade chili sauce - for serving
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the peeled shrimp, grated sweet potato, tapioca flour, coconut flour, egg, minced garlic, chopped green onion, cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties, ensuring they are compact enough to hold their shape during cooking.
- Heat coconut oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the patties in the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger assembly. Lay a large lettuce leaf on a plate as the base, followed by a cooked shrimp patty, slices of cucumber, and tomato.
- Top with a drizzle of homemade chili sauce and another lettuce leaf on top, creating a burger stack. Serve immediately.
