- all-purpose flour - 200 grams
- water - 100 milliliters
- sugar - 30 grams
- coconut oil - 50 grams
- mung bean paste - 100 grams
- durian flesh - 50 grams
- salt - 1 gram
- sesame seeds - 10 grams
- egg (for egg wash) - 1
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt together.
- Melt the coconut oil and add it to the flour mixture, then gradually add water while kneading until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- While the dough is resting, prepare the filling by mixing the mung bean paste and durian flesh until well combined.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll each part into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle and fold the edges over to seal, shaping them into small round pastries.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Arrange the pastries on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each pastry.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
