- Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- French baguette - 2 pieces
- Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1/2, julienned
- Daikon radish - 1/4, julienned
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Chili sauce - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and black pepper. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- While the beef is cooking, prepare the baguettes by slicing them open lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise inside each baguette and add a layer of cooked beef.
- Top the beef with cucumber slices, julienned carrot, daikon radish, and chopped cilantro.
- Drizzle with chili sauce to taste, and close the baguette. Serve immediately.
