Ingredients
- Baguette - 1 large (about 200g)
- Mozzarella cheese - 100g, shredded
- Cream cheese - 50g
- Cucumber - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Fresh cilantro - 10g, chopped
- Pickled carrots - 50g
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Sriracha sauce - 1 teaspoon (optional)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Slice the baguette lengthwise, without cutting all the way through, to create a pocket.
- In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly inside the baguette.
- Layer the shredded mozzarella cheese over the cream cheese.
- Place the baguette on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- While the baguette is baking, prepare the fresh vegetables: slice the cucumber and chop the cilantro.
- Once the baguette is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the baguette and drizzle with Sriracha sauce if using.
- Fill the baguette with the sliced cucumbers, pickled carrots, and fresh cilantro.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
