Ingredients

  • French baguette - 1 medium (about 250g)
  • Chicken liver pâté - 100g
  • Cucumber - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Pickled carrots and daikon - 50g
  • Fresh cilantro - 10g
  • Sliced jalapeño - 1 small (optional)
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  2. Spread the chicken liver pâté evenly on both sides of the baguette.
  3. Layer the cucumber slices on one side of the baguette.
  4. Add the pickled carrots and daikon on top of the cucumbers.
  5. Sprinkle fresh cilantro over the vegetables.
  6. If desired, add sliced jalapeños for a spicy kick.
  7. Drizzle soy sauce and lime juice over the filling, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Close the baguette and press gently to compact the ingredients.
  9. Cut the sandwich into halves or quarters, and serve immediately.
