Ingredients

  • Baguette - 2 pieces
  • Shrimp - 150 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Squid - 100 grams, cleaned and sliced
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red chili - 1, thinly sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Carrot - 1/2, julienned
  • Cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon for frying

Steps

  1. In a bowl, marinate the shrimp and squid with fish sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the marinated seafood and cook for 5-7 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  3. While the seafood cooks, prepare the baguettes by slicing them open and spreading mayonnaise on the inside.
  4. Once the seafood is cooked, layer it inside the baguettes, followed by cucumber slices, julienned carrots, sliced red chili, and chopped cilantro.
  5. Close the baguettes and serve immediately, optionally with extra lime wedges on the side.
