- Chicken breast - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Baguette - 2 small
- Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Pickled carrots - 50 grams
- Cilantro - a handful
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Sriracha - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken breast to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
- Slice the baguettes in half lengthwise. Spread mayonnaise on the inside of each baguette.
- Layer the sliced chicken, cucumber, pickled carrots, and cilantro into each baguette.
- Drizzle with Sriracha if desired, then close the baguette and serve immediately.
