Ingredients

  • Tofu - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • French baguette - 2 pieces
  • Carrot - 50 grams (julienned)
  • Cucumber - 50 grams (sliced)
  • Fresh coriander - 10 grams
  • Fresh mint - 10 grams
  • Chili sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into thin slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper. Marinate the tofu in this mixture for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated tofu slices and cook until golden brown and slightly crispy on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. While the tofu is cooking, prepare the vegetables by julienning the carrot and slicing the cucumber.
  5. Once the tofu is ready, slice the baguettes open lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  6. Spread a layer of chili sauce inside each baguette, then layer the cooked tofu, carrots, cucumbers, coriander, and mint.
  7. Close the baguettes and serve immediately, or wrap them up for a delicious snack later.
