- Carrot - 50 grams, julienned
- Daikon radish - 50 grams, julienned
- Fresh cilantro - 20 grams
- Fresh mint - 10 grams
- Pickled vegetables (carrot and daikon) - 50 grams
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Chili sauce (optional) - to taste
Steps
- Begin by preparing the pickled vegetables. In a bowl, combine the julienned carrot and daikon with 1 tablespoon of lime juice, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 cup of water. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes.
- While the vegetables are pickling, slice the Vietnamese baguettes open lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise inside each baguette.
- Layer the sliced chả lụa evenly inside the baguettes.
- Add the sliced cucumber, pickled vegetables, fresh cilantro, and mint on top of the sausage.
- Drizzle with soy sauce and add chili sauce if you like some heat.
- Close the baguettes and serve immediately for the best texture.
