Ingredients

  • Baguette - 2 pieces
  • Chả Lụa (Vietnamese Pork Sausage) - 200 grams, Halal version
  • Cucumber - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Daikon Radish - 50 grams, julienned
  • Fresh Cilantro - 10 grams, chopped
  • Fresh Mint - 10 grams, chopped
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili Sauce (optional) - to taste

Steps

  1. Start by preparing the vegetables: julienne the carrot and daikon radish, and thinly slice the cucumber.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with soy sauce to create a flavorful spread.
  3. Slice the baguettes in half lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  4. Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly on both sides of the baguette.
  5. Layer the Chả Lụa slices generously inside the baguette.
  6. Add the julienned carrot, daikon, and cucumber slices on top of the sausage.
  7. Sprinkle chopped cilantro and mint over the filled baguette.
  8. If desired, add a drizzle of chili sauce for some heat.
  9. Close the baguette and press gently before slicing in half for serving.
