Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 250 grams
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Gluten-free burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Daikon radish - 1/2 small, julienned
  • Rice vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Sriracha - to taste
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 2-4 leaves

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, fish sauce, minced garlic, cilantro, green onion, lime juice, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties, approximately 1.5 cm thick.
  3. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar and sugar until dissolved. Add julienned carrots and daikon radish, and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until cooked through and browned.
  5. While the patties are cooking, toast the gluten-free burger buns until lightly golden.
  6. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then place a lettuce leaf on top.
  7. Add the cooked patty, followed by the marinated carrots and daikon, and cucumber slices.
  8. Drizzle Sriracha on top according to your spice preference, then place the top half of the bun on each burger and serve immediately.
