- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Brown erythritol or sweetener - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Fresh mint - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Jalapeño - 1/2, thinly sliced (optional)
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon for grilling
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large, to serve
Steps
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, erythritol, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef strips and grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- While the beef is grilling, prepare the fresh toppings by slicing cucumber, chopping cilantro and mint, and slicing jalapeño if using.
- To serve, take a large lettuce leaf, add a portion of grilled beef, top with cucumber, cilantro, mint, and jalapeño slices.
