- Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Shallot - 1, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Burger buns - 2, preferably soft
- Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1/2, julienned
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, minced garlic, chopped shallot, soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and sugar. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat.
- In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise and sriracha sauce to create a spicy mayo.
- Toast the burger buns lightly on a skillet with the remaining vegetable oil until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading a layer of spicy mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Add a generous portion of the stir-fried beef, followed by cucumber slices, julienned carrots, and chopped cilantro.
- Top with the upper half of the bun and serve with lime wedges on the side.
