Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour, water, salt, and sugar. Mix until smooth and there are no lumps.
- Add the finely chopped shallots and green onions to the mixture, stirring well to incorporate.
- Pour the batter into a lightly greased shallow dish or pan, spreading it evenly.
- Steam the mixture in a steamer for about 15 minutes or until set. Allow it to cool slightly before removing from the dish.
- Once cooled, cut the steamed batter into small squares or rectangles.
- In a frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Carefully place the cut pieces into the hot oil.
