- Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
- Warm water - 80 ml
- Coconut milk - 50 ml
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Mung bean paste - 50 grams
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Coconut flakes - 2 tablespoons (optional)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, warm water, coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small balls, about 20 grams each.
- Flatten each ball into a small disc and place a teaspoon of mung bean paste in the center. Fold the edges over and pinch to seal.
- Bring water to a boil in a steamer. Place the filled dumplings on a steaming tray lined with parchment paper.
- Steam the dumplings for about 15 minutes or until they are translucent and cooked through.
- Remove from the steamer and let cool slightly. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and coconut flakes before serving.
