- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Cilantro, chopped - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large bowl, mix the tapioca flour, water, and salt to form a smooth dough. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped shallots, sautéing until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with fish sauce and black pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in chopped green onions and cilantro before removing from heat.
- Divide the tapioca dough into small portions, flatten each portion to create a disc.
- Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center of each disc and fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape, sealing the edges tightly.
- Arrange the dumplings on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the surface is slightly golden.
- Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice.
