- Fish sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh cilantro - 20 grams, for garnish
- Lettuce leaves - 4, for serving
- Rice noodles - 100 grams, cooked, for serving
Steps
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped lemongrass, minced garlic, shallots, fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, sesame oil, and vegetable oil.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, grill the marinated beef strips for about 2-3 minutes on each side until nicely charred and cooked through.
- Remove from the grill and let the beef rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the grilled beef alongside fresh lettuce leaves and cooked rice noodles. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
