- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Rice noodles - 100 grams
- Cucumber, sliced - 1/2 medium
- Carrot, julienned - 1 medium
- Fresh cilantro - 20 grams
- Fresh mint - 20 grams
- Peanuts, crushed - 20 grams
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, vegetable oil, brown sugar, five-spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Cut the seitan into thin slices and add to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- While the seitan is marinating, cook the rice noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Once marinated, grill the seitan slices for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they have nice grill marks and are heated through.
