Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Fish sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Stevia or erythritol - 1 tablespoon (optional for sweetness)
  • Fresh mint leaves - 10 grams, for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro - 10 grams, for garnish
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large, for wrapping

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the fish sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, lime juice, and stevia (if using) to create a marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated beef slices on the grill.
  4. Grill the beef for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.
  5. Remove the beef from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  6. To serve, arrange the grilled beef on a plate and garnish with fresh mint, cilantro, and chopped green onions.
  7. Serve with large lettuce leaves for wrapping the beef and enjoy with extra lime wedges on the side.
