Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 300 grams
- Beer (lager) - 100 ml
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Lemongrass (finely chopped) - 1 stalk
- Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for grilling
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
- Lime wedges - for serving
Steps
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 1 cm thick.
- In a bowl, combine beer, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, black pepper, sesame oil, chopped lemongrass, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
- Add the beef strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly grease with vegetable oil.
- Remove the beef from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the leftover marinade.
- Grill the beef strips for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Once cooked, remove the beef from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the grilled beef garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges on the side.
