- Fresh mint leaves - 10 grams
- Fresh cilantro - 10 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Lime - 1, juiced
- Peanut butter - 2 tablespoons (for dipping)
- Water - as needed for soaking rice paper
Steps
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with minced garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Prepare the vegetables by grating the carrot, julienning the cucumber, and rinsing the bean sprouts.
- Soak each rice paper sheet in warm water for about 10-15 seconds until softened, then lay them flat on a clean surface.
- In the center of each rice paper, layer a portion of the cooked ground beef, grated carrot, cucumber, bean sprouts, mint, and cilantro.
- Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom up to form a wrap. Repeat with remaining sheets and filling.
- To serve, mix the peanut butter with lime juice for a dipping sauce, and enjoy the Bò Bía fresh.
