Ingredients
- Pasta (whole wheat or regular) - 150 grams
- Plain yogurt (preferably Greek) - 200 grams
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - for boiling pasta
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing the yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes in a bowl until well combined.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and return it to the pot. Allow it to cool slightly for about 2 minutes.
- Add the yogurt mixture to the pasta and stir gently until the pasta is well coated.
- Fold in the chopped fresh mint, reserving a little for garnish.
- Serve the Yoğurtlu Makarna warm or at room temperature, garnished with the remaining mint.
