- Firm Tofu - 200 grams

- Smoked Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Crusty Bread (such as baguette) - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Red Onion - 1/2 small, thinly sliced
- Fresh Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Vegan Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Hot Sauce (optional) - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1 cm thick slices.
- In a bowl, mix lemon juice, olive oil, seaweed flakes, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the tofu slices to the marinade and let them soak for at least 10 minutes.
- While the tofu marinates, prepare the vegetables by slicing the tomato, cucumber, and red onion, and chopping the parsley.
- Heat a grill pan over medium heat and grill the marinated tofu slices for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and slightly crispy.
- Toast the crusty bread lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- Spread vegan mayonnaise inside the toasted bread, then layer with grilled tofu, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and parsley.
- Drizzle with hot sauce if desired, then close the sandwich and serve immediately.
