  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add the diced carrot and minced garlic to the pot, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste and cumin powder, cooking for an additional 2 minutes to incorporate the flavors.
  4. Add the cooked chickpeas and water to the pot, bringing the mixture to a gentle boil.
  5. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
