  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Canned diced tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the fresh green beans and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until they start to soften.
  5. Add the canned diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined.
