Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Plain yogurt - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
  • Onion - 1 medium, cut into chunks
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breast into 2.5 cm cubes and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for deeper flavor).
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Once marinated, thread the chicken, red bell pepper, and onion onto the skewers, alternating between chicken and vegetables.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
