- Chicken breast - 150 grams
- Milk - 500 milliliters
- Granulated sugar - 75 grams
- Rice flour - 40 grams
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 15 grams
- Rose water or orange blossom water - 1 tablespoon
- Pistachios - for garnish
Steps
- Start by poaching the chicken breast in a pot of boiling water for about 15 minutes until cooked through. Remove and let it cool, then shred it finely.
- In a separate saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, rice flour, and cornstarch. Stir well to dissolve the dry ingredients.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and continuously stir the mixture until it thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the shredded chicken, vanilla extract, and rose or orange blossom water.
- Pour the mixture into a rectangular or square dish and smooth the top with a spatula. Let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Once set, cut the Tavuk Göğsü into squares or rectangles and serve chilled, garnished with crushed pistachios.
