- Lamb shoulder - 500 grams, cubed
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, grated
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cucumber - 1, sliced
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, grated onion, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Add the cubed lamb shoulder to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for the best flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Thread the marinated lamb onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Place the skewers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the lamb is cooked through and slightly charred.
- While the lamb is cooking, warm the pita bread in a pan or oven until soft.
- Serve the lamb skewers with warm pita, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top.
