Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 300 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2, kosher
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Plain yogurt - 100 grams, kosher
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Sliced tomatoes - 1 medium
  • Lettuce leaves - 2

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 2 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, heat the tomato sauce in a small saucepan until warmed through.
  5. Toast the burger buns lightly on a separate pan or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lamb patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with warm tomato sauce, a dollop of plain yogurt, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and chopped parsley.
  7. Place the top half of the bun on each burger and serve immediately.
