- Lamb loin or steak - 300 grams, thinly sliced
- Whole wheat pita bread - 2 pieces
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - for garnish, chopped
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced lamb with olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the lamb marinates, preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the marinated lamb in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
- In a small saucepan, heat the tomato sauce over low heat until warm.
- Toast the whole wheat pita bread in a toaster or on a skillet until slightly crispy.
- To serve, place the toasted pita bread on plates, top with the cooked lamb, drizzle the warmed tomato sauce over the top, and add a dollop of Greek yogurt.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
