Ingredients

  • Lamb loin or steak - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Whole wheat pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish, chopped

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced lamb with olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. While the lamb marinates, preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the marinated lamb in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat the tomato sauce over low heat until warm.
  5. Toast the whole wheat pita bread in a toaster or on a skillet until slightly crispy.
  6. To serve, place the toasted pita bread on plates, top with the cooked lamb, drizzle the warmed tomato sauce over the top, and add a dollop of Greek yogurt.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
